HivePulse SEO Contest Winners + New Week 4 (300 HIVE)

![HivePulse SEO Contest week 4 cover: a gold, silver and bronze Hive medal podium with a trophy, beside an analyzer panel scoring 98 SEO and 100 GEO](https://usermedia.actifit.io/MSYVIJE1O1AOKR3SJ5VQ7QX4ARL7P) > **EDIT — alt-text scoring is now stricter (HivePulse v1.12.1)** > > The analyzer used to accept *any* alt text on an image. It now only counts alt text that actually describes the image — so `![](url)`, `![image](url)`, and auto-filled filenames like `![IMG_1234.png](url)` no longer earn the Media points. > > Most editors fill the filename in for you, so this is easy to miss. If your Media row dropped, open each image and replace the filename with a short description of what is in the picture: > > `![a hiking trail at sunset](url)` — not `![image.png](url)` > > **This is applied evenly.** Judging re-scores every entry from the blockchain with the same rule, so nobody is advantaged or disadvantaged by when they entered. If your screenshot shows a slightly higher score than the final table, this change is why — your ranking is unaffected. Descriptive alt text is also a real image-search and accessibility win, which is why we corrected it. **Summary:** Week 3 of the HivePulse SEO Contest is settled. Three creators split 300 HIVE, every entry was re-scored directly from the blockchain, and week 4 opens today — from this moment, not tomorrow. Last week @hdev asked Hive creators to optimize a post with the HivePulse SEO Contest analyzer and show the score. Eleven posts came in from seven creators, every one re-scored directly from the blockchain. Below are the winners, every score, the rulings that decided this round, and how to enter week 4. ## How were the HivePulse SEO Contest winners chosen? No screenshot was taken on trust. Every entry was re-scored from its published on-chain body using the same scoring engine the extension runs in the editor, so a flattering screenshot cannot win. In fact the screenshot is only ever used to confirm you ran the tool. The ranking metric is the combined average of the SEO percentage and the GEO score. Three checks decide eligibility: publication inside the contest window, the `#hivepulse` tag, and a minimum SEO score of 70. Merit does the rest. ## 🥇 First place — @mein-senf-dazu (150 HIVE) **[31st Atlas Earth Payout ($162 Earned)](https://ecency.com/@mein-senf-dazu/31st-atlas-earth-payout-usd162)** — SEO **98%** · GEO **100** · combined **99** A bilingual German/English payout update, 1,180 words, with a clean summary up top, a payout table that carries the whole story, and sentences an answer engine can lift on their own. Also the second podium in three rounds — this time with the `#hivepulse` tag firmly in place. ## 🥈 Second place — @nabbas0786 (100 HIVE) **[Day 2 of Playing GOT DragonFire And A Guide for Beginners](https://ecency.com/@nabbas0786/day-2-of-playing-got-dragonfire-and-a-guide-for-beginners)** — SEO **94%** · GEO **100** · combined **97** A 1,361-word beginner guide to Game of Thrones: Dragon Fire with an opening overview, real subheadings and a perfect GEO score. @nabbas0786 actually posted the two strongest scores of the entire week — both 99/100/100 — but neither carried the tag. His best tagged entry takes second place. **EDIT:** Note that due to the change made above which was undetected and is practically a missed assessment by the extension, and due to difference in scoring between the extension and our internal scorer which had this rule in place, we awarded an extra 50 HIVE to @nabbas0786 as the missed grading was ours to own. ## 🥉 Third place — @katriel1 (50 HIVE) **[Graduation Celebration: 1 Great Academic Achievement](https://ecency.com/@katriel1/graduation-celebration-1-great-academic)** — SEO **83%** · GEO **93** · combined **88** A 594-word family chronicle of her son's high school graduation in Venezuela — structured, heartfelt, and a long way from the 283-word post that missed the floor in week 2. From **49 to 88** combined in one round. That is what the coaching is for. All three winners are upvoted and reblogged by @hdev, and prizes are paid on publication of this post. ### Every entry, every score Full transparency — one row per person, their best tagged post. | Author | SEO | GEO | Combined | Result | |---|---|---|---|---| | @mein-senf-dazu | 98% | 100 | 99 | 🥇 | | @nabbas0786 | 94% | 100 | 97 | 🥈 | | @katriel1 | 83% | 93 | 88 | 🥉 | | @ekads | 78% | 93 | 86 | qualified | | @yusmelys | 74% | 78 | 76 | qualified | | @cositav | 58% | 100 | 79 | below the SEO 70 floor | | @jankris | 94% | 100 | 97 | outside contest window | The tag reminder is working — 8 of 11 entries were tagged this week. But the two best-scored posts of the round both missed it, and that is the entire difference between first place and the shape of this board. It costs two seconds and it is enforced. @cositav is the closest near-miss of the round: a tagged, in-window entry with a perfect GEO score and an SEO number just short of the floor. The analyzer's fix list is short and specific — run it on the next post and the entry clears. ## 🚀 Week 4 opens now — same 300 HIVE **How to enter:** 1. Install HivePulse — [Chrome](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hivepulse/hakcpohpejoejmlhiphpkjobpjeckdlg) or [Firefox](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hivepulse/). Free, works on Opera, Brave and Edge through the Chrome build, and runs on Firefox for Android. 2. Write and publish a **new** post on any supported Hive frontend, using the analyzer as you write. 3. **Comment below** with a link to the post **and** a screenshot of your SEO and GEO panel. Both are required — a screenshot alone cannot be scored. 4. **Tag the post `#hivepulse`.** Enforced. It decided this round's podium. **Prizes:** 🥇 150 HIVE · 🥈 100 HIVE · 🥉 50 HIVE, all upvoted and reblogged by @hdev. **Rules:** the window opens the moment this post publishes — write and publish today and you are in. New original content published **from today through 25 August 2026, 23:59 UTC**, minimum SEO score of 70, one entry per person — if you post several, your best tagged one counts. Any language welcome. ## Where the points actually are Three rounds of data now say the same thing. SEO scores cluster high — Hive creators already write good titles, headings and images. GEO is the metric that turns a good post into a citable one, and this week the field caught on: six of seven qualifying entries scored GEO 93+. GEO measures whether an AI answer engine can lift a passage from your post and cite it. Three habits carry almost all of it: 1. **Open with the answer.** Put the payoff in the first 8 to 60 words, before any preamble. 2. **Write self-contained sentences.** A sentence beginning "This shows…" means nothing quoted alone. Name the subject. 3. **Keep pronoun density low.** Repeat the noun where a weaker draft reaches for "it" or "they". And the cheapest points on the board: **fill in the preview description** — worth 10, takes 15 seconds. On PeakD it is "Short preview description", right under the editor. On Ecency it is in the Story preview step, the box under the greyed-out title — pre-filled from your post, so it looks like your text, but editing it changes only your search snippet. And while we're here: **tag the post `#hivepulse`.** Not after you remember — at the top of the tag list, before you publish. It is the difference between the podium and a footnote. ## Join in - ⭐ **Subscribe to [Hdev Contests](https://peakd.com/c/hive-177727/created)** — every round lands here. - 💬 **Discord:** https://discord.gg/wnpR8Rafcf - 🐦 **X:** https://x.com/HdevCore - 🧩 **Get HivePulse:** [Chrome](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hivepulse/hakcpohpejoejmlhiphpkjobpjeckdlg) · [Firefox](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hivepulse/) — the Chrome build also covers Opera, Brave and Edge Congratulations to @mein-senf-dazu, @nabbas0786 and @katriel1.
