Salary Day: Budgeting for Two Weeks

 Today is salary day! ‎ ‎The most desired day of the month especially for those people who already finished the items at home. ‎ ‎It's weird for me to say this but having no money and having money are both stressful for me. ‎ ‎When you have no money, it's stressful because you can't buy the things that you want and need. But when you get the money, it's also stressful because of budgeting. ‎ ‎My mind is working overtime thinking of ways to make it work. How much should I allot? How much is enough for our emergency fund? ‎ ‎Well, life can't stop just because we are low on cash. So, I made a list of what is needed to be bought. Things that we usually buy at home. And made sure that the money my hubby got from his salary is enough. ‎ ‎Our target is to buy what is needed for two weeks. So we can save up more for the next salary day. Sometimes, we finish all the stuff we bought before the next salary day, so it's a must that we have an emergency fund. I'm really thankful that we do have it. ‎Today, my hubby and I went separate ways to make things faster. So, he went to the wet market to buy our fruits while the kids and I went to the mall to buy the stuff we need. ‎ ‎   ‎ ‎Although it took us a long time but we were able to get everything we need in the list. Hopefully, it would last for two weeks. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎For lunch, all I did was fry some bologna and kikiam into bite-sized pieces and served it together with ginataang kalabasa that my mother-in-law gave us. ‎ ‎  ‎ ‎I'm just so grateful that they are our neighbors. Because they always share whatever they have with us. And that really help us a lot since we save our budget. ‎ ‎I'm very thankful for their generosity. 😊 ‎ ‎So, that's how my salary day went. It was tiring and stressful. But still, I'm grateful for the simple things in life. We struggle everyday to provide for our family. Budgeting, saving up and being thankful with the little things we have. Isn't that what makes life beautiful?
