From afar, the familiar, fragrant aroma of mustard oil, panch phoron five-spice blend and vinegar drifts through the air. Upon reaching the stall, a vibrant kaleidoscope of colors greets the eye. This photograph was captured recently in front of one such pickle stall. It is nearly impossible to resist the temptation when faced with an array of pickles displayed in gleaming steel bowls. On one side, there are bright, deep-red pickles made from berries or cherries as visually stunning as they are delightful to taste. Nearby, in a large bowl, lies a dark, tangy-sweet-spicy concoction perhaps mango or another fruit soaked in a rich syrup of jaggery and spices. The mere sight of it makes one’s mouth water; the spoons seem to beckon, inviting you to take a taste! ![](https://i.ecency.com/DQmcTh4AwJbutbQMTrWjFPTjq71iqXgLjh7KQb6Gb64xkfc/1792243555737.jpg) Deciding what to choose when standing before such a stall is no easy task. With a warm smile, the vendor might offer a spoonful of mango or olive pickle to sample. That very first bite triggers an exquisite explosion of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors, instantly brightening one’s mood. For those who prefer a sharp tang, there are spicy lemon or raw mango pickles, while those with a sweet tooth might opt for pickles made from chalta elephant apple or sweet kul (jujube). Each bowl holds a diverse collection of colors and flavors, whetting not just the visual appetite, but the physical one as well. As I walk away, carrying a paper cone or a plastic container filled with an assortment of pickles, a unique sense of satisfaction washes over me. This deep-seated affinity that Bengalis have for pickles is something that will likely never fade. The taste of this simple, humble, yet enchanting food serves as a gentle reminder that true happiness often lies hidden within life’s small, everyday pleasures. If you get the chance, do stop by a pickle shop one day and lose yourself in this world of unique flavors and aromas. 📸 Photography| Details 📸 |-|-| |Model|Realme-C53| |Location| Bangladesh| <center><b>꧁Thanks for reading My post꧂</b></center> </div> Posted Using [INLEO](https://inleo.io/threads/view/queen88/an-afternoon-in-the-mouth-watering-world-of-pickle-yrv6ai7o) Posted via [HiveSuite](https://hivesuite.app/@queen88/an-afternoon-in-the-mouth-watering-world-of-pickle-yrv6ai7o)
